Palliative Care Community Services
CHSLD L.-B.- Desjardins : specialized in palliative care service
Palliative care is a unique type of health care service that treats seniors with life-threatening or terminal conditions. The primary purpose of palliative care services is to continue to provide care for seniors who are at the end of their lives, to keep them as comfortable as possible. This service also encourages family members to spend quality time with their loved one and to participate in any activities that the patient may have always wanted to do.
Palliative care is of the utmost importance when nearing end of life to assure the individual receives the primary personal attention they need and deserve. The regular activities of daily life become extremely limited and making sure these seniors are cared for properly is the main focus at CHSLD L.-B.- Desjardins.
